Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Student”, “User”, or “Customer”) and Mariia Anosova, acting as an individual entrepreneur / sole proprietor (Individual Entrepreneur ID: 145874685), operating under the commercial brand and online platform “Novilingua” (“Novilingua”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing our website, creating a student account, purchasing any product, subscription, or lesson package, or booking a lesson with Novilingua, you expressly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Cancellation, Expiration, Freeze & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

Novilingua is an online language school and digital education platform providing live, interactive foreign language instruction (including Russian as a Foreign Language) delivered via 1-on-1 video sessions and small group courses, as well as digital community access (Telegram Language Club) and related educational resources.

All lessons are conducted by independent contractor teachers or employed educators associated with Novilingua. Standard 1-on-1 and Group lessons have a duration of 50 minutes. Diagnostic Trial Lessons have a duration of 40 minutes.

To use Novilingua services and book lessons, you must register for a Student Account on our platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account details updated.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify Novilingua immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Users must be at least 18 years of age (or at least 13 years of age with parental or legal guardian consent) to create an account and purchase services on Novilingua.

All prices for lesson packages, group courses, trial lessons, and subscriptions are listed in United States Dollars (USD) and are inclusive of applicable operational fees unless stated otherwise.

By purchasing a lesson package or subscription, you authorize Novilingua and its designated payment processors (such as Stripe or local payment gateways) to securely store your payment method and process charges.

1-on-1 lesson packages operate under an Automatic Renewal & Balance Reload policy to ensure uninterrupted learning and preserve your schedule with your Teacher. Packages automatically renew under a hybrid trigger (whichever occurs first):

• (a)Balance Reload Trigger: Immediately upon completion of your second-to-last lesson (when exactly one (1) lesson credit remains in your package balance); OR
• (b)Expiration Trigger: On the final day of your current package validity period.

You may disable Automatic Renewal & Balance Reload at any time in your Student Dashboard settings at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the next renewal/reload trigger.

All lesson bookings, package expirations, freeze rules, automatic renewals, and refund requests are strictly governed by our separate Cancellation, Expiration, Freeze & Refund Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

In summary: 1-on-1 packages have fixed validity periods (e.g., 35 days for an 8-lesson package), unused credits expire after the deadline, students may freeze their package 4 days/month for free (or up to 10 additional days for a $10 fee), and refunds for unused packages are available within a 14-day cooling-off period without penalty, while partially used packages within 14 days are recalculated based on Novilingua’s Standard Single-Lesson Rate of $30.00 USD per lesson.

All content, materials, software, curriculum, video recordings, graphics, logos, and trademarks made available on the Novilingua platform or during lessons are the exclusive intellectual property of Mariia Anosova / Novilingua or its licensors.

Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Novilingua educational materials solely for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes. You agree not to copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Novilingua materials without explicit written permission.

You agree to use the Novilingua platform and interact with Teachers, staff, and fellow students in a respectful, lawful, and courteous manner.

Harassment, hate speech, abusive language, discrimination, sharing inappropriate or explicit content, recording live lessons without explicit teacher consent, or attempting to bypass the platform to conduct private transactions with Novilingua teachers is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination without refund.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mariia Anosova and Novilingua shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the platform or services.

Novilingua’s total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to Novilingua during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable commercial and civil laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Mariia Anosova reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms of Service at any time by posting the revised version on the Novilingua website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
